About Dr Jenny Cooper
I'm a Clinical Psychologist with over a decade of experience across mental health services.
Eating disorders are where my specialism lies — since qualifying, I've worked in a range of roles across NHS eating disorder services for both children and adults. Alongside this, I've worked with many autistic individuals and have a particular interest in the interplay between eating disorders and autism, including how therapy can be adapted accordingly. I now work in an adult autism assessment service, carrying out psychologically-informed, neuroaffirmative autism assessments. I also enjoy working with people experiencing difficulties that may present alongside eating disorders, such as anxiety, OCD, low mood, low self-esteem and perfectionism.
“I’m passionate about working with people with eating disorders, and I believe that, given the right support, recovery is absolutely possible”
